My South Asian heritage combined with my experiences as a first generation American always seemed to create a push-and-pull within my own life, ranging across food, holidays, and familial relations, art, music and aesthetics. I have always loved geometry and symmetry, and something I noticed through my own experience with culture is the usage of circles with internal designs. For this collection of works, I decided to focus on exploring how geometric shapes along with repetition can be used to reflect my own internal balancing act of culture and heritage.
